HOW TO FIND WHERE IT IS WRITTEN OF YOU (2)

1Corinthians 2:8-10 (NIV) None of the rulers of this age understood it, for if they had, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. However, as it is written: “What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived”—the things God has prepared for those who love him— these are the things God has revealed to us by his Spirit. The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God.

Hebrews 1:1-2a (NIV) says “In the past God spoke to our ancestors through the prophets at many times and in various ways, but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son,…” For you to really know what God has said about you, you need to listen to what God has said about you through Christ. Who you are in Him, what you have, where you are and what you can do because you are in Him and because of all He has done for you by His death, burial and resurrection.

These things are the hidden wisdom God has ordained for our glory (1Cor.2:6-8). It is by knowing these things we experience what eyes have not seen, ears have not heard and minds have not imagined. As His time on earth came to an end, Jesus told His disciples He had so many more things to tell them but they couldn’t receive it at that moment. He however assured them that when the Holy Spirit comes, He would guide them into all truth, (John 16:12-14).

These are the things written in the epistles, (Romans to Revelation) – Eph.3:1-5. By the Spirit, God revealed glorious things to the apostles about us. To find the things written about us in the scriptures, we must give great attention to the things written in the epistles and we must rely on the help of the Holy Spirit to know and understand them, (Eph.1:15-20). Prayer: Father, as I study the scriptures, by your Spirit open my eyes to know who I am, what I have, where I am, what I can do in Christ.
