I SEE LIGHT

7th April 2023

Scripture Reading: ZECHARIAH 4: 1-9

Focus

“And said unto me, What seest thou? And I said, I have looked, and behold a candlestick all of gold, with a bowl upon the top of it, and his seven lamps thereon, and seven pipes to the seven lamps, which are upon the top thereof:” (Zechariah 4: 2)

When the angel asked Zechariah what he saw, Zechariah confirmed that he saw a candlestick made of gold, with a bowl upon it, with seven lamps that have seven pipes connected to them. Notice that the temple at this point had been destroyed and needed to be rebuilt. Zechariah did not see the vision of a destroyed temple; he saw the vision of a rebuilt temple. He didn’t see what was happening; he saw what was about to happen.

Friend, as a burning and shining light, heaven forbids you from seeing only what is happening. Dare to see what is yet to happen. Dare to see the future that heaven is yet to unfold. Dare to see the temple that is yet to be built. Dare to see the gates that are open though they may be closed at the moment. Dare to see light even if there is darkness at the moment. Dare to see what is yet to become reality. Dare to see light in the temple.

Notice that Zechariah needed to see the light in the temple before the temple could be rebuilt. He needed to see what others were not seeing, so that the new thing that was to come into existence could come back into existence. Your new season may not unfold, and God may not even empower you for the new, until you begin to see light where others see darkness. Your temple may not see the light of day until you see light instead of darkness.

Stop seeing what the enemy has done. Stop seeing the evil reports in the airwaves. Stop seeing the report of those who love to predict your downfall. Stop seeing the reports of those who believe there is no tomorrow for you. Stop seeing the current, unpalatable situations that abound around you. Stop seeing the efforts the enemy is making to cause you to lose faith. Stop seeing the failure that already happened.

Dare to see light no matter the darkness around you. If only you can see light, then your temple is about to come back up.

Declaration

I choose to see light; no darkness will subdue my vision, in Jesus’ name!
