Memorise: “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.” – Matthew 5:16
Read: Matthew 5:14-16
14 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.
15 Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.
16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
Bible In One Year: 2 Corinthians 12
MESSAGE:
There are some people who, when there is a group assignment, everyone wants to be in their group, these are the ones who always make positive impact. There are some others who nobody wants to be group mates with for an assignment, these ones either have negative impacts or no impact at all. For me, if I am in a place at all, my impact must be felt. This should be your resolve too. You should be such a person, that when people see you coming, they are happy because solution has come to the problem they have been battling with.
To always make positive impact, first, you must recognise your area of strength. Your strength could be in mathematics, sciences, music or sports. Once you know your area of strength, begin to improve yourself in that area. Read more, practice more and ask questions from experts in your area of strength. The better you get in that area, the more impactful you will be. This does not mean you should ignore other areas, improve on them too, but make sure that nobody can ignore your impact in your area of strength.
REFLECTION:
What impact do you have on your friends, is it a positive or negative impact?
Hymn 13:
1 Is your life a channel of blessing?
Is the love of God flowing through you?
Are you telling the lost of the Savior?
Are you ready His service to do?
Chorus:
Make me a channel of blessing today,
Make me a channel of blessing, I pray;
My life possessing, my service blessing,
Make me a channel of blessing today.
2 Is your life a channel of blessing?
Are you burdened for those that are lost?
Have you urged upon those who are straying
The Savior who does on the cross
3 Is your life a channel of blessing?
Is it a daily telling for Him?
Have you spoken the word of salvation?
To those who are dying in sin?
4 We cannot be channels of blessing
If our lives are not free from sin;
We will barriers be and a hindrance
To those we are trying to win.
