INCREASE IN KNOWLEDGE, VALUE & VIRTUE

PROVERBS 24:5, 2PETER 1:5 (KJV), DANIEL 1:20 A wise man is strong; yea, a man of knowledge increaseth strength. *And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; *And in all matters of wisdom and understanding, that the king enquired of them, he found them ten times better than all the magicians and astrologers that were in all his realm.

God does not have a problem with promoting you and giving you greater opportunities. What type of value are you going to offer when you receive those promotions and opportunities? What type of impact are you going to make? What kind of problems are you going to solve and how much of a blessing are you going to be?

The word virtue in our second text above means good and admirable qualities. As we increase in our faith, God wants us to also increase in virtue and knowledge. Be passionate about growing in knowledge and wisdom. My husband Archbishop Benson Idahosa used to say, “When you stop learning, you start dying.” Give yourself to abundant study and trainings. Upgrade your skillset. Get knowledge and be diligent in practicing and applying that knowledge to your life.

Develop your character and increase in your integrity. Yield more to the Spirit and let the fruit of the Spirit develop and mature in you, (Gal.5:22-23). Increase in your commitment to excellence. Be faithful. Serve others and gain wisdom and experience. Do you know that Daniel served four different kings of Babylon? – Nebuchadnezzar, (Dan.1:18), Belshazzar (Dan.5:9-13), Darius (Dan.6:1-3), and Cyrus (Dan.6:28). Keep building your capacity. God has great plans for you.

PRAYER:
Dear Father, I desire to grow in knowledge, skills and virtue. Help me to study, serve, practise and yield more to your Spirit.
