Increase your Vision and Passion for the Nations
Matthew 9:35-38 And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people. But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd. Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few; Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.
Colossians 1:16-20 shows us that Jesus made all things and by His death on the cross, He also wants to reconcile all things unto Himself. By all things here, the Bible is not referring to all human beings. The Bible is also referring to every field of life and every sphere of influence in society. God wants to reconcile Business, Family, Culture, Sports, Religion, Education, Media, Arts, Entertainment, Government and Politics and every profession, field of life and sphere of influence in society. These fields are nations or worlds of their own. They have their languages, practices, dressing and culture. God wants His kingdom to come and His will to be done in each of these fields and nations.
It is very good for you to be passionate about your field or your profession but as a child of God, your passion should be more than to make impact and rise to the top of that field. Your passion should be to see that field reconciled to God. That field or nation will be reconciled to God when people in the profession are reconciled to God. When they are reconciled to God, they will do things God’s way and God will be King indeed in that field or nation. This is why God has sent you into that field or profession. If Jesus was sent into that field or profession, what do you think His passion will be? That is the same passion you must have because Jesus has sent you into that field or nation just as the Father sent Him, John 20:21. You are His Ambassador through which He wants to reconcile all men unto Himself, 2 Cor. 5:20. May God open your eyes to see the great evil and destruction that will continue to take place if we do not rise up and reconcile our fields and nations to Him. And may God use you and raise other labourers who will reconcile their fields and nations to Him.
Prayer Focus:
Pray for various fields and specific spheres of influence in society that God will use you and other believers to reconcile them to Himself.
