MEMORISE: He first findeth his own brother Simon, and saith unto him, We have found the Messias, which is, being interpreted, the Christ. John 1:41

READ: John 1:40-41

40 One of the two which heard John speak, and followed him, was Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother.

41 He first findeth his own brother Simon, and saith unto him, We have found the Messias, which is, being interpreted, the Christ.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: 1 Samuel 22-24; Luke 16:1-18

MESSAGE:

In our Bible reading for today, we see how Andrew met Christ and how he immediately went ahead to invite his brother to meet Christ too. That should be our attitude towards our family members. If you are born-again and you still have family members that are not yet born again, it is your responsibility to ensure that they meet Christ and experience salvation as you have.

If any member of your family is not yet born again, don’t give up on them. Keep telling them about Christ and praying for them. Ultimately, continue to show them love and to model a Christian lifestyle to them. One day, God will touch their heart if you keep interceding for them.

There is a serious punishment coming for those who are not in the fold of Christ and if you truly love your family members, you will do everything it takes to ensure that they escape that punishment.

Action Point:

List your family members who are not yet born again and begin to strategize on how you will share the love of Christ with them.

Hymn 4:

1.Wonderful story of love;
Tell it to me again;
Wonderful story of love;
Wake the immortal strain!
Angels with rapture announce it,
Shepherds with wonder receive it;
Sinner, oh won’t you believe It?
Wonderful story of love.

Chorus:
Wonderful! Wonderful!
Wonderful, Wonderful story of love.

2.Wonderful story of love,
Though you are far away;
Wonderful story of love;
Still He doth call today;
Calling from Calvary’s mountain,
Down from the crystal bright fountain,
E’en from the dawn of creation,
Wonderful story of love.

3.Wonderful story of love:
Jesus provides a rest;
Wonderful story of love;
For all the pure and blest,
Rest in those mansions above us,
With those who’ve gone on before us,
Singing the rapturous chorus,
Wonderful story of love.
