IT WORKS BY KNOWLEDGE
“LIKEWISE, YE HUSBANDS, DWELL WITH THEM ACCORDING TO KNOWLEDGE, GIVING HONOUR UNTO THE WIFE, AS UNTO THE WEAKER VESSEL, AND AS BEING HEIRS TOGETHER OF THE GRACE OF LIFE; THAT YOUR PRAYERS BE NOT HINDERED.”

To maintain beauty and glamour especially in marriage requires hard work. A marriage is alike a cultivated garden, it entails tilling, planting, watering and nurturing, to blossom. One of the ways in which you can properly cultivate your garden is to consciously gain knowledge of your wife, her strengths, weaknesses, likes and dislikes. She was not just created to complete you alone; you are supposed to nurture her to perfection.
Just like every plant would require its own planting technique, every woman has special ways you can successfully relate with her to ensure continuous peace. When a man understands the nature of his wife and walks according to that knowledge, challenges are less likely to occur. This also goes for the woman and her husband.

Lack of understanding is one of the major causes of challenges in marriages and other relationships. As a man, you must understand that your wife was given to you by God to take care of, while your wife must also accept that you should be respected and honoured, if she will get the best out of him. However, respect and honour is not one-sided. The husband likewise must give respect to his wife and honour her as a “better half”. Understanding also entails that you know her temperament, accept it and help to correct and/ or reduce to the barest minimum the negative sides, in love.
When you understand all that is necessary in your wife, you won’t “step on each other’s toes”. Also, it will be much easier to forgive any offences, thereby preventing them from escalating. When understanding is in place, you will practically be walking in love. While you realise that you and your partner are not perfect and may be very different, understanding helps you complement each other perfectly. Marriage is beautiful, but it takes your knowledge about the rudiments to make it work. You will not fail in it!
