JEALOUSLY GUARD YOUR FAITH

Luke 8:49-50 (GNB), Eph. 6:16 (LB), 1Cor.2:5

… a messenger came from the official’s house. “Your daughter has died,” he told Jairus; “don’t bother the Teacher any longer.” But Jesus heard it and said to Jairus, “Don’t be afraid; only believe, and she will be well.” *In every battle you will need faith as your shield to stop the fiery arrows aimed at you by Satan. …your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.

As a believer, your faith in Christ is your life, (Hab.2:4b). Your faith in Christ is what will make you continue experiencing the life, blessings, power and the glory of God; no matter what is going on around you. This is why the devil will do everything to attack your faith in Christ. The devil’s major weapon is his lies, and the purpose of his lies is to weaken your faith in Christ.

Don’t allow your senses to distract or discourage you. For we walk by faith and not by sight, (2 Cor.5:7). Be led by the Spirit of God and not your feelings or anything else. Build and charge your spirit with prayer and the revelation of Christ. Fellowship with other believers, (Heb.10:25). Do not keep silent when a negative thought or news comes to you. Open your mouth and speak God’s truth concerning you over that thought or news. When someone came to tell Jairus that his daughter was dead, Jesus stopped what He was doing, turned to Jairus and said, “Don’t be afraid, only believe and she will be well.” Jesus stopped that negative news from crippling his faith. Stay away from things and people that will weaken your faith and give yourself more to things and people that will build and stir up your faith in Christ. Your faith in Christ is more precious to God than pure gold, (1Pet.1:7).
