JESUS CAME TO DO GOOD
‘’How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.’’
Acts 10:38 KJV
Look at Jesus Christ our perfect example! Anywhere He went, He was doing good and touching lives. They said He should not touch a leper, but he did. He healed the woman with the issue of blood even though the law said He should not touch such people. Yet, He still stayed sanctified. They said that He should not touch the dead, but Jesus raised the dead. He raised the dead in the house of Jairus, yet He was not defiled! Jesus was a radical preacher, not the legalistic type.
Jesus shook the tables of the religious rulers of His day. They never wanted Him to do anything. They said He was a friend of sinners. We understand, however, that Grace was in motion. The disposition of Jesus to do good was an example of Grace in motion.
He met a woman caught in adultery and they brought her to Him, expecting that he would to condemn her. However, the people made the mistake of their lives by bringing the woman to Grace. There, she received the gift of no condemnation. The religious rulers were confused. What manner of man is this? Thus, the woman was set free to their utter shock. That is what grace does!
Anywhere Jesus went, He was doing good. Jesus was willing to bypass thousands just to reach one person. That is how important you are. The devil fought Jesus in the high sea because of one man. He put His life on the line with the waves and the storm just for one man and when Grace came to that man, the demons left him. Then the man said to Jesus: ‘’I want to follow you.’’ Jesus said: “Go home to your friends, and tell them what great things the Lord has done for you and how He has had compassion on you” (Mark 5:19 NKJV). When Grace comes, everything changes.
