JESUS HAS REMOVED THE ‘IFS’ FROM GOD’S PROMISES

2Corinthians 1:20 (NKJV, NLT, LB) For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us. *For all of God’s promises have been fulfilled in Christ with a resounding “Yes!” And through Christ, our “Amen” (which means “Yes”) ascends to God for his glory. *He carries out and fulfills all of God’s promises, no matter how many of them there are; and we have told everyone how faithful he is, giving glory to his name. As believers in Christ, God has fulfilled ALL of His promises to us. Unlike it was for the people of Israel, God’s promises are already our reality now.

They are no more based on our fulfilling certain conditions to qualify for them. By His death, burial and resurrection, Jesus has fulfilled every condition and made us qualified to experience the manifestation of ALL the promises of God in our lives. Now, we inherit (not work for) God’s promises by faith and patience, (Heb.6:12).

The things that were conditions to the people of Israel are no more conditions to us; rather they are our normal lifestyle now because of the life of Christ in us. God told the Israelites, “Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth is mine: And ye shall be unto me a kingdom of priests, and an holy nation. …, (Exo. 19:5-6).”

God says to us “But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.” Does this mean we no longer need to obey God’s voice and do His will? No! We obey God’s voice and do His will because we have the life of Christ in us. Also, God is at work in us making us willing and able to do His will, (Phil.2:13).

Faith Declaration:

All of God’s promises to me have been fulfilled. They are my reality now and I shall experience their manifestations.
