Jesus Wants You to Always Have His Peace

John 14:27 (GNB) Peace is what I leave with you; it is my own peace that I give you. I do not give it as the world does. Do not be worried and upset.; do not be afraid.

John 14:27 (AMP) Peace I leave with you; My [own] peace I now give and bequeath to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. [Stop allowing yourselves to be agitated and disturbed; and do not permit yourselves to be fearful and intimidated and cowardly and unsettled.]

One of the names of Jesus in the Bible is Prince of Peace, Isa. 9:6. This word ‘Prince’, as used here, is the Hebrew word ‘sar’ and it means the head, captain, general or highest rank, ruler, master or steward. In Colossians 2:10, the Bible says, “And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power.” Because of the absolute dominion and lordship that Jesus has over every situation, power or being, the absolute peace of God is sure and guaranteed in every area of your life. When the word peace is used in the Bible, it refers to health, wholeness, quietness, rest, favour and prosperity. Jesus has overcome the world and His peace is so strong that even in the midst of storms and tribulations, we can still experience divine health, wholeness, quietness, rest, favour and prosperity, John 16:33.

Jesus has paid the price and taken all the trouble necessary in order for you to always have His peace, Isa. 53:5. Because of Jesus, we have both peace with God (Rom. 5:1) and the peace of God, Phil. 4:7. Peace with God means that God is no more angry or at war with us and the peace of God refers to the same level of calmness, wholeness and prosperity that God Himself experiences. Our peace with God produces the peace of God in our lives. When Jesus said, “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest” (Matt, 11:28-30), He was assuring us that when we believe in Hi, we become righteous and blessed before God. We no longer have to struggle in our effort to obey all of the law in order to be righteous and blessed by God. That is why He said we should take His yoke upon us and learn of Him, for His yoke is easy and His burden is light. Because of Jesus, God is pleased with you and His peace is guaranteed in your life.

Prayer:
