Memorise: “Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;” – 2 Corinthians 10:5

Read: Matthew 6:34

34 Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

Bible In One Year: Proverbs 11-12, 1 Corinthians 15:33-58

MESSAGE:

I have seen teenagers express concerns about their future, either because of the trend that they can see in their family or because they are just worried. I must tell you that there may be trends in your family, but as soon as you become born again, you became a member of God’s family. He is your Father now, so you are now part of His bloodline. What happens to you is no longer dependent on your earthly father, but on your Heavenly Father.

You may be worried about whether you will get admission into the University on time, or if you will get married early or if you will have delays in child birth. Don’t let the Devil bring bad thoughts, the more likely they will happen because your mind has the power to create events. Think positive thoughts instead. Find all the promises of God in the bible concerning that thing that you are worried about, so that when the bad thoughts come, you can speak the word of God against them and that promise of God will soon become your reality.

Prayer Point:

I cast down every bad thought, and I decree that my tomorrow will be alright as the word ofGod says concerning me.

Hymn 1:

  1. My faith looks up to Thee,
    Thou Lamb of Calvary,
    Savior divine!
    Now hear me while I pray,
    Take all my guilt away,
    Oh, let me from this day
    Be wholly Thine!
  2. May Thy rich grace impart
    Strength to my fainting heart,
    My zeal inspire!
    As Thou hast died for me,
    Oh, may my love to Thee
    Pure, warm and changeless be,
    A living fire!
  3. While life’s dark maze I tread,
    And griefs around me spread,
    Be Thou my guide;
    Bid darkness turn to day,
    Wipe sorrow’s tears away,
    Nor let me ever stray
    From Thee aside.
  4. When ends life’s transient dream,
    When death’s cold sullen stream
    Shall o’er me roll;
    Blest Savior, then, in love,
    Fear and distrust remove;
    Oh, bear me safe above,
    A ransomed soul.
