KEEP REACHING OUT TO ENCOURAGE THE FAITH OF OTHERS

Philippians 1:1-2, Colossians 1:1-2, Ephesians 1:1

Paul and Timotheus, the servants of Jesus Christ, to all the saints in Christ Jesus which are at Philippi, …: Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ. *Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, and Timotheus our brother, To the saints and faithful brethren in Christ which are at Colosse: Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. *Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, to the saints which are at Ephesus, and to the faithful in Christ Jesus:

Like we studied yesterday, all three scriptures in our text above are from letters that Apostle Paul wrote while he was in prison for the sake of Christ. Apostle Paul was so consumed by His passion to preach the Gospel of Christ and encourage the faith of other believers that even though he was in prison, he did not allow the prison stop him. He found a way to keep reaching out and impacting lives with the gospel of Christ. When you are
passionate and committed to something, no matter the challenges you are facing, you do not give up and give
excuses for not doing it. You find a way and make sure you keep doing it. You can do all things through Christ
that strengthens you.
These letters that Apostle Paul wrote became a blessing to so many lives and it is still a blessing to many today.
In the same way, every effort you put into reaching out and blessing people will bless them and others even more than you think.
It is important to reach out and encourage the faith of others. You may not know how far such efforts will go.
It could be to new converts or fellow believers. We need to be more deliberate about using the communication
devices and channels that God has given us to be a blessing to people. Especially with the abundance of negative news and challenges out there in the world. Communicate things that minister God’s grace to others, (Eph.4:29). Sometimes, you can just compose a message of encouragement with your phone and send to others. You can include a scripture and a prayer. In verse 3 of Philemon 1 (which he also wrote from Prison), Apostle Paul said, “May God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ give you grace and peace,” (GNB).

Action Point:
Pray for the encouragement of the faith of someone you know and for other believers. Ask God to use you to reach out to encourage someone.
