TEXT: “And it came to pass, when Pharaoh had let the people go, that God led them not through the way of the land of the Philistines, although that was near; for God said, Lest peradventure the people repent when they see war, and they return to Egypt: But God led the people about, through the way of the wilderness of the Red sea”…. Growth is a necessary prerequisite in the kingdom to access your throne. The ways of God are very sure. God is a god of process. He has a determined end for His children but He takes them through the procession mapped out for them in order for them to grow to maturity to fully take their place as priest and kings reigning on the earth (Rev. 5 :10). God delights in maturity. He delights in His children rightly taking their place on Earth decreeing Justice.

Without maturing the heir is like a servant. “Now I say, That the heir, as long as he is a child, differeth nothing from a servant, though he be lord of all” Gal. 4 :1.

No sane person gives birth to a child that is not excited seeing the child growing accordingly – crawling, walking, running… He may not dwell long at a stage depending on his speed of adaptation but not just from the womb and starts running. That is abnormal and results in gross immaturity.

God would have taken the children of Israel through a shirt route from Egypt to the Promised Land but God understood the danger involved in shortcut and took them through the wilderness, a place of training, grooming and refining to take off Egypt from them before bringing them into Canaan, the land flowing with milk and honey.

God owns the whole world but there are certain blessings He will not give a babe in Christ except he or she grows up. Do child of God, delight in Kingdom maturity and grow up..

PRAYER: My Father! My Father! As I begin to pray now, I receive fresh grace to grow up and stay up.
