Laugh and Rejoice With God

Psalms 2:1-2, 4 (CEV), Zephaniah 3:17-18 (CEV)
Why do the nations plot, and why do their people make useless plans? The kings of this earth have all joined together to turn against the Lord and his chosen one. *In heaven the Lord laughs as he sits on his throne, making fun of the nations. *The Lord your God wins victory after victory and is always with you. He celebrates and sings because of you,
and he will refresh your life with his love.” The Lord has promised: Your sorrow has ended, and you can celebrate.

The Bible tells us that Jesus only did what He saw the Father doing (John 5:19). Since we now have the life of Christ and He has sent us into the world as the Father sent Him (John 20:21), we too must continually align our will to where God is at work at every point in time. If we must remain joyful and victorious at all times, we must recognize and focus on what God the Father is doing more than what the devil or any person or situation is doing.

In our first text above, we see that amidst a great conspiracy against God and His chosen one, God did not become worried and afraid. Instead, God laughed. The New King James Version says, “He who sits in the heavens shall laugh…” Beloved, we are seated together with Christ in heavenly places (Eph.2:6) far above principalities and powers (Eph.1:20-21). God wants us to join Him to laugh at what the devil thinks he is trying to do to us.
Beloved, God is not weeping over what you are going through. Rather, God is always rejoicing over you. God is rejoicing over you because He loves you and because of the wonderful things that Jesus has done for you. God is rejoicing over you because He has great plans for you and He knows that His word and promises will come to pass in your life; things that eyes have not seen, ears have not heard and minds have not imagined (1Cor.2:9). God is rejoicing over you because He knows that all things are working together for your good because His mighty power is at work in you to do exceeding, abundantly above all you ask or think (Eph.3:20). God is rejoicing over you because you are unstoppable. He is rejoicing because when He looks at you, He sees Christ and He sees you being changed from glory to glory into the image of Christ (2Cor.3:18).

Prayer Focus:
Thank God for His great love, plans, blessing and power at work in your life. Rejoice and laugh right now because you are unstoppable.
