LEADERS MUST LOVE PEOPLE

“Be ye, therefore, followers of God, as dear children; and walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour.” Ephesians 5:1-2 (KJV)

We are in the business of people. If anyone says he is a leader and does not love people, that person has no business being a leader. Irrespective of the social status of the person, leaders must love the people they are called to serve.

God has not called you to do the business of the Holy Spirit. It is the Holy Spirit that brings conviction to people, not you. We are called to be witnesses to the Lord. That is why the disciples were asked to tarry in Jerusalem to be empowered. “But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.” (Acts 1:8 KJV)

What does a witness do in a court of law? A witness tells the story of what he has encountered or what he knows. You are not the prosecutor! And you are not the judge! Your part is to be a witness. But many of us have become both witnesses and judges. Stay in your lane and allow the Holy Spirit to do His work. Love the people! Pour yourself into them! Don’t judge them! You cannot do that job more than the Holy Spirit. Let the Holy Spirit convict the people.

Also, learn to share your story. Tell the story of your conversion! Tell the story of how you were down and out, and God raised you. That is the power behind Christianity. Unfortunately, some of us are not willing to tell our stories. We usually like to hide the ugly part and tell of how wonderful everything is. It is a lie! The real power behind Christianity is to tell people how God took you from obscurity and brought you to the spotlight. That is the power that is in Christianity.

Daily Confession

… I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and I am persuaded that God is able to keep that which I have committed unto Him; …God will wipe away tears from my eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. (2 Timothy1:12); (Revelation 21:4)

I will dwell in the secret place of the most High and I shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. The Lord will not suffer my foot to be moved: for He that keepeth me will not slumber; the Lord is faithful, and He will strengthen me and protect me from the evil one. I do not fear, for the Lord is with me; I will not be dismayed, for you are my God. The Lord will strengthen me and help me; the Lord will uphold me with His righteous right hand. (Psalm 91:1, Psalm121:3, 2Thess 3:3, Isaiah 41:10)

Every day and in every way I am getting better: spiritually, physically, financially, mentally, morally, and in all my endeavours.

I am called for a purpose; I will fulfill this purpose and I will arrive at God’s ordained destiny for my life. Nothing will cut me short. I will make a formidable impact in my world for the Kingdom. Therefore, I declare that I am a person of integrity, I am spiritually fervent, and I am accountable in all I do because I’ve been raised to live the Kingdom Life here on earth.

It is my day of Great and Mighty Things!
