MEMORISE: “For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater:” – Isaiah 55:10

READ: Luke 3:11

11 He answereth and saith unto them, He that hath two coats, let him impart to him that hath none; and he that hath meat, let him do likewise.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Deuteronomy 23-25; Mark 14:51-72

MESSAGE:

The ground is a giver, according to our memory verse, God blesses it with rain and as it flourishes, it also gives food to the people. Whatever God has blessed you with is not to be enjoyed by you alone. You must learn to share everything God has blessed you with, not limiting it to money and food. If He has blessed you with understanding a particular subject, then you should teach others who don’t understand it. If He has blessed you with a skill like sewing teach others too. Be a blessing to them as God has been a blessing to you.

There is a popular saying that givers never lack l. The ground will never stop producing and having food because it always gives. It will never stop having mineral resources because it always gives. There is no doubt about it that the more you give the more you receive.

Proverbs 11:24 says: “There is that scattereth, and yet increaseth; and there is that withholdeth more than is meet, but it tendeth to poverty.”

Reflection:

Are you a giver?

Hymn 11:

1 Is your life a channel of blessing?
Is the love of God flowing through you?
Are you telling the lost of the Savior?
Are you ready His service to do?

Chorus:
Make me a channel of blessing today,
Make me a channel of blessing, I pray;
My life possessing, my service blessing,
Make me a channel of blessing today.

2 Is your life a channel of blessing?
Are you burdened for those that are lost?
Have you urged upon those who are straying
The Savior who does on the cross

3 Is your life a channel of blessing?
Is it a daily telling for Him?
Have you spoken the word of salvation?
To those who are dying in sin?

4 We cannot be channels of blessing
If our lives are not free from sin;
We will barriers be and a hindrance
To those we are trying to win.
