LET YOUR LIGHT SHINE WHEREVER YOU GO

‘’Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.’’  Matthew 5:14-16

Christianity is not just about carrying the Bible but living for Christ! People should see Christ in the way you live. Many times, I enter a plane and people ask me, ‘’what do you do for a living?’’ I don’t want to tell them I’m a preacher; that should not be my first. My desire is that everything about me will speak of Christ. If they push me too much, I say I teach people how to live a good life and how to enjoy life hereafter. Of course, that lives them curious to know more and that opens the door for me to minister Christ to them.

It is not about wearing a T-Shirt or a cap saying “I am a believer” or “I am a Christian”. No! It is through your lifestyle- showing the world the life of a believer. Without you opening your mouth, your carriage should preach, the excellence with which you carry out your assignment should point people to Jesus.

I challenge you to carry your Christianity anywhere you go. Let people see Jesus in your life. Without introducing yourself, let the light in you shine bright for the world to see. There should be an aura around you that will make people around you perceive that you are a different person.

Beloved, you must learn to carry Jesus with you wherever you go. Let people see Jesus in you; be the “Jesus” the world is looking for. You can never lose by being nice. You see, most of the prayers we are offering will not be needed if we just do what we should do. God is not unrighteous! He wants our light to shine.
