MEMORISE: “Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.” – Proverbs 18:21

READ: Proverbs 18:19-21

19 A brother offended is harder to be won than a strong city: and their contentions are like the bars of a castle.

20 A man’s belly shall be satisfied with the fruit of his mouth; and with the increase of his lips shall he be filled.

21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Leviticus 1-3; Matthew 24:23-51

MESSAGE:

You already have some power within you. You may be very little in stature, but you have the power of life and death reside in you. That power is in your tongue. You can use your tongue to make something that is alive dead, and you can use it to make something that is dead alive. It is very powerful.

If you have a gun in your hands, I am sure that you will handle it with care. Your tongue is more powerful than a gun, so you should have it with even more care. Don’t say negative things about yourself when joking with your friends or when frustrated. Don’t say you cannot do something just because it looks hard. The difference between what you can do and what you cannot do is largely dependent on what you say. Use your tongue with care, not carelessly. Look into the mirror and declare great things about yourself. You don’t have to wait for a prophet to prophesy into your life. You are your own prophet, so go ahead and prophesy positive things into your life, family, church and nation.

Action Point:

Begin to prophesy what you want in your life, family and future now.

Hymn 7:

1.Take my life and let it be
Consecrated Lord to thee
Take my moment and days
Let them flow ceaseless praise.

2.Take my hands and let them move
At the impulse of thy love
Take my feet and them be
Swift and beautiful for thee

3.Take my voice and let me sing
Always only for my king
Take my lips and let them be
Filled with messages from thee.

4.Take my sliver and my gold
Not a mite would I withhold
Take my intellect, and use
Every power as thou shalt choose.

5.Take my will and make it Thine,
It shall no longer mine:
Take my heart, it is Thine own;
It shall be Thy royal throne,

6.Take my love, my Lord, I pour
At They feet its treasure store;
Take myself, and I will be
Ever, only, all for thee
