“And Joseph nourished his father, and his brethren, and all his father’s household, with bread, according to their families.”Genesis 47:12 (KJV)
What are we doing as the church? We seem to just enjoy surviving. But that is not God’s intention for us. If the reason why Jesus died is for you to just survive, to get food to eat and clothes to wear; we have failed. I believe that Jesus died for much more than that.
God is not coming for a battered, weak or defeated church. He is not coming to get the church in a rescue mission. No! God expects us to dominate our world.
No matter what you have now, it is not God’s best for you. While you may think you have made it! God has much more in store for you. Even if you are feeling down, be assured God has a glorious future for you. Where you are today is not your end; you have a brighter future ahead.
When God talked about wealth transfer, He was not playing on words. Do you know that researchers looked into the cost of building of Solomon’s temple? In today’s economy; it would translate to about USD 205 billion. Your God is El-Shaddai. Lift your vision. If God can do it for one, He can do it for another. God is not partial.
One other challenge of the church that is holding believers back is selfishness. Some believers, who have been empowered, cannot empower other people. God enabled you to be in that position so that you can lift others up. God lifted you so that every one of us will be lifted. That is how God wants it.
God expects everyone to be kingdom-minded. It is not about you, it is about the kingdom. If all you think about is me, mine and I, then you are myopic. It is time to lift your vision and be determined not just to be blessed but to be a blessing. Purpose in your heart to be a positive influence who will leave his or her footprints in the sands of time.
