LILY OF THE VALLEY

SONGS OF SOLOMON 2:1-2 (NIV, AMPC)
She: “I am a rose of Sharon, a lily of the valleys.” He: “Like a lily among thorns is my darling among the young women.”*[She said] I am only a little rose or autumn crocus of the plain of Sharon, or a [humble] lily of the valleys [that grows in deep and difficult places]. But Solomon replied, Like the lily among thorns, so are you, my love, among the daughters.

The lily of the valley is a very interesting plant. One of its striking attributes is that it grows well in deep and difficult places. It is also known as a very rare plant that can flourish and blossom beautifully even without sunlight. Hence, it can be adequately grown indoors.

Just like the lily of the valley, by the amazing grace, awesome power and mighty blessing of God upon your life in Christ, you will continue to grow and flourish even in deep valleys and difficult conditions. Your environment, conditions or the attitudes of people will not limit you. Because you trust in God and you meditate on His word, you are like a tree planted by the rivers of water that always blossoms and flourishes and is not limited by harsh conditions, (Psa.1:2-3, Jer.17:7-8). You shall remain above only. You will remain joyful and loving.

Paul wrote Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians and Philemon from prison, but he did not sound like someone who was in prison. After being falsely accused, beaten, chained and imprisoned, at midnight, Paul and Silas prayed and sang unto God, (Acts 16:25) After all the animosity from his brothers, Joseph was sold as a slave to a foreign land, yet he continued to flourish and prosper from Potiphar’s house to the prison and eventually he ascended to the Palace.

FAITH DECLARATION:
I am like the lily of the valley. By the grace and blessing of Christ, I always blossom and flourish. Nothing limits me
