LIVE AS CHRIST

1John 4:17 (AMP), Colossians 3:17 (LB)

In this [union and fellowship with Him], love is completed and perfected with us, so that we may have confidence in the day of judgment [with assurance and boldness to face Him]; because as He is, so are we in this world. *And whatever you do or say, let it be as a representative of the Lord Jesus, all the while giving thanks through him to God the Father

When, for example, someone sends you to represent them at an event or occasion, they are not just sending you to go and behave like them there. What they are sending you to do is to go and be them at that event or occasion. There is a big difference between the two. There may be many people behaving like them at the occasion, but you are the only one authorized by them to be everything they are there. You are the only one who will be given the actual privilege to ensure their presence is felt by doing what they are supposed to do and enjoying whatever they are supposed to enjoy.

This is exactly what Jesus expects from us in every area of our lives. He desires for us to live as Him. He expects us to think, talk and do everything we do as Him; including the way we relate to God. This is why God gave us the life of Christ. This is why Apostle Paul reminds us that it is no longer him that lives but Christ that lives in him (Gal.2:20). This is the same, right mindset we must have. Christ is our life. We are no longer living for ourselves but for Christ (2Cor.5:15).

This is our destiny and our high calling; i.e., that our lives will be conformed to Christ (Rom.8:29) and that we will grow up into Him in all things, (Eph.4:15). Jesus wants us to live as Him and expect the same results He would expect.

Faith Declaration:
Christ is my life. I am one with Christ and I am living His life. I think, talk and act as Christ in all areas of my life.
