LIVE BY FAITH AND THE WORD OF GOD
Matt. 4:4 (NKJV), Rom. 10:17 (KJV, CEV) 2Cor.5:7 (CEV), Heb.10:38 But He answered and said, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.” *So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. *No one can have faith without hearing the message about Christ. *But we live by faith, not by what we see. *Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him.
As a child of God, your life comes from the word of God. In 1Peter 1:23, the Bible says we are born of the incorruptible word of God. Your life is no longer from your flesh and blood. It is the word of God that determines your reality. Because you have believed and received Christ, you have received the power to become a son and daughter of God, (John 1:12-13).
Now, you believed and received Christ as you heard the gospel about Christ and what He has done for you. The gospel of Christ is the power of God that saves, delivers and gives us victory (Rom1:16) and it is the gospel of Christ that produces the faith of Christ in our lives. Our faith comes from God, Rom.12:3.
It is the same way that we received Christ that we are supposed to continue to walk or live in Him. The Bible says,“So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness,” (Col.2:6-7, NIV). This means that just as you received Christ by faith that came from hearing the revelation of Christ, you must live the rest of your life by the faith that comes from the revelation of Christ. This is how God wants you to live. This also means that you must continue to hear the gospel of Christ. The revelation of Christ needs to dwell in you richly, (Col.3:16).
Do not live by sight or your senses. Live by the faith of Christ. Live by what God says about you in Christ. Stand for what God says about you until it comes to pass. Your faith is your victory. You have faith and overcome the world because you are born of God, 1John 5:4.
Faith Declaration:
I live by the word of God. It is the revelation of Christ that determines my reality. All things are possible for me because I believe.
