LIVE FROM WITHIN

Philippians 4:11-13 (GNB)

…I am not saying this because I feel neglected, for I have learned to be satisfied with what I have. I know what it is to be in need and what it is to have more than enough. I have learned this secret, so that anywhere, at any time, I am content, whether I am full or hungry, whether I have too much or too little. I have the strength to face all conditions by the power that Christ gives me.

God did not design you and me to live our lives from the outside. He designed us to live from the inside. Our real identity does not come from our flesh or anything external, (2 Cor.5:16-17). Our real identity comes from our inside – who we are in Christ. We are new creatures and right now, we are one with Christ on our inside, (1 Cor.6:17). As He is so are we in this world. The Bible says even though it does not look like it on the outside, right now, we are sons of God just like Christ, (1 John 3:2).

We are different from the people of this world. We have a higher life and God wants this higher life inside us to control the way that we think, speak and act. God has loaded us on the inside with all things we need for life and godliness, (2Pet.1:3). He has filled us with His glorious riches and the same power that raised Christ from the dead is at work in us, (Eph.1:18-20). Greater is He that is in us than he that is in the world, (1 John 4:4). God Himself is at work in us by His Spirit, making us willing and able to do His good will, (Phil.2:13).

Your spirit is the real you. Your body is just a container/suit by which you function on the earth. Don’t let your body and its senses and emotions control you. Follow the leading of God’s Spirit in your spirit.

Faith Declaration:
I am one with Christ. I do not live my life by my senses or who I am on the outside. I live by who I am in Christ.
