“By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God.”
Hebrew 11:5. KJV
Enoch followed God. And the more he was following God, the more he was becoming like God. The more he followed God, the more he was being transformed. Changes were taking place to the extent that God decided that ‘I cannot leave this man like this. He has been so changed that he can’t stay here. If he stays here, people are going to die. The glory is not going to allow him to stay.’ So, God took him away. He was too good to remain here.
Enoch had a testimony that he pleased God by following Him. According to the book of Genesis 5:24: “…Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him”(KJV)
Beloved, they may call me stupid, but I’m following Him. They may say that I am dumb, but I am following Him. They may say it is not modern, it is ‘old school,’ but I am still following Him. People mocked, laughed and jeered, but Enoch decided that he was going to follow Him. And the Bible says that God took him, and he had this testimony that he pleased God. How do I please God? The Bible in Hebrews 11:6 says – ‘For without faith, it is impossible to please God’
So, for those struggling to please God; if you want to please Him, live by faith. To live by faith is to live by the Word of God. The Bible doesn’t explain to us where God originated from. It simply says in the beginning God… (Genesis 1:1). It is saying, you either take it or leave it. When it comes to the things of God, He doesn’t want to negotiate with you. His Word is final. He expects you to accept it that way. The Bible declares that he that cometh to God must believe that He is. If He says lie down, then lie down. If He says jump up, jump up. Whatever He says; do it. If it is by my jumping up or sitting down that I’m going to be healed. I may look stupid in the sight of people, but I want to be healed.
