“And let them make me a sanctuary; that I may dwell among them.”
Exodus 25: 8 KJV

God is not interested in your offering for the sake of the money. He is interested in your heart. In Exodus 25:2, God said to Moses: “Speak unto the children of Israel, that they bring me an offering: of every man that giveth it willingly with his heart ye shall take my offering.”(KJV) This means it is a heart thing. It is a trust matter. It is not about the money, it is about the relationship. The earth is the Lord’s and the fullness thereof. Therefore, when God blesses you, He gives you His resources to hold in trust for Him. That is why when He asked for the offering, He told them exactly what they should do with it.

In the initial verses of Exodus 25, God told the children of Israel the specific offerings that He expected from them. Then in verse 8, He says, ‘let them make me a sanctuary that I may dwell with them. This is an indication that your offering at times, produces His presence around you. Do you know what that means when He tabernacles with you? Psalm 114 tells us that when the children of Israel left Egypt and people of a strange language, God was their sanctuary, and that the mountains and the hills began to skip like rams, and it says, why are you running? You’re telling me not to run in the presence of God? The mountains and the hills are running because God is here. And who can stand before Him?

Some believers are being defeated by the adversary because of the way they have handled their offerings and tithes. Psalm 114:7 says: “Tremble, thou earth at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the God of Jacob.” Your offerings activate the presence of the Lord because it makes a sanctuary for God.
