MAKE GOD THE LIGHT OF YOUR LIFE

PSALMS 27:1 (NLT), JAMES 1:17 (AMPC) The LORD is my light and my salvation—so why should I be afraid? The LORD is my fortress, protecting me from danger, so why should I tremble? *Every good gift and every perfect (free, large, full) gift is from above; it comes down from the Father of all [that gives] light, in [the shining of] Whom there can be no variation [rising or setting] or shadow cast by His turning [as in an eclipse].

Beloved, God wants to be your everything. He wants your whole trust, focus and attention to be on Him at all times. He wants you to be very conscious of Him and His great love for you at all times. In our first text above, one of the things David described God as was his light. The word ‘light’ is a word that is usually associated with hope and many other good things. David did not say, “The LORD is one of my lights.” He said, “The LORD is my light.”

God was His source of hope and the source of every good thing in his life. When you make God your light, no matter the situation you are in, you will always have hope because you know that all things are possible with God and God loves you and wants the best for you. When you make God your light, you will always have a hope or an assurance of good things happening in your life because our God is the source of all good and perfect gifts. God will never stop or change His mind about bringing good things and shinning His light and glory into your life.

When you make God your light, His nature and power will radiate both in and through your life. You will arise and shine, (Isa.60:1). You will also enjoy God’s wisdom and direction for every area of your life.

PRAYER:

FATHER, YOU ARE THE LIGHT OF MY LIFE. I THANK YOU THAT BECAUSE YOU ’RE MY LIGHT, I ALWAYS HAVE HOPE, GOOD THINGS, WISDOM AND DIRECTION.
