Make Room in Your Heart for Jesus

December 12, 2022

“And she gave birth to her first-born son; and she wrapped Him in cloths, and laid Him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn.” – Luke 2:7

Have you ever wondered why there was no room in the inn? Could it be that the innkeeper simply wasn’t expecting Mary and Joseph to knock on the door of his inn? Or that he didn’t recognize the importance of the event that was about to take place?

Let me ask something more personal? Is there room in your heart for the Lord Jesus? How often has Jesus tried to touch our lives through a circumstance, or a tragedy, or even an incredible blessing? But we said, “I’m sorry, there’s no room.” Or we say, “Just sit over there in the corner and I’ll let you know when I’m ready for you.” We haven’t prepared room for Him in our hearts. We haven’t received Him and let Him be King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

Many of us, not only at Christmas but all through the year, have no room in our lives for Jesus. Make room for Him this Christmas. Receive Him, and let Him be born in your heart and life. There will never be a better time than right now!

TODAY’S PRAYER FOCUS
