Make Your Praise and Thanksgiving Deeper

Luke 5:4-6, 1 Thessalonians 5:18, Ephesians 5:20
Now when he had left speaking, he said unto Simon, Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught. And Simon answering said unto him, Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net. And when they had this done, they inclosed a great multitude of fishes: and their net brake. *In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. *Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;

Jesus is calling us to take our praise and thanksgiving deeper. When Jesus told Peter to launch out into the deep for a great catch, Peter was hesitant because he had tried fishing all night but catch nothing. No matter how long you have been praising and given God thanks, as you need to this admonition by faith and you take your praise and thanksgiving deeper, you are going to experience unbelievable blessings and benefits in your life.

In our text above, we see that thanksgiving is God’s will for our lives. God wants us to thank Him always, in all things and for all things. God would not have asked us to thank Him always if there was no blessing and benefit of thanking Him always. Thanksgiving is not something you do because you feel like or when you are told in church to do it. Thanksgiving unto God should be constant in your life. God wants us to always have a thankful heart and attitude. The Bible says, “And what every you do or say, do it as a representative of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through him to God the Father.” Thanksgiving is a major type of prayer and it should be a major part of your prayer. Philippians 4:6 says, “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God.” The Amplified Bible says, “Do not fret or have any anxiety about anything, but in every circumstance and in everything, by prayer and petition (definite requests), with thanksgiving, continue to make your wants known to God.” The Good News Bible says, “Don’t worry about anything, but in all your prayers ask God for what you need, always asking him with a thankful heart.”

Prayer:
Dear Father, I praise and thank you for you are wonderful and worthy of my praise and thanksgiving. Help me to give you praise and thanks always.
