For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord
Merry Christmas! Today, we celebrate the birth of Jesus – the moment when He put aside His robes of majesty, wrapped Himself in flesh, and came to dwell among us.
On that night, a star shone brightly. May the Light of the World illuminate your heart and your home this holy day. Like the shepherds, may you always follow that Light to bow quietly and reverently in His presence.
Unlike the innkeeper, may you create a sacred space for the Holy One to come and abide with you. May your heart always be open and receptive to Him.
Like the angels that poured light and song across the sheep-dotted fields, may you always be compelled to share the Good News of His coming with all people.
May the Bread of Life satisfy your hunger to fill you with every good thing. May He prove Himself to be more than enough in every situation.
Through that humble stable, the Lamb of God came to be with us. Immanuel brought us forgiveness, hope, restored relationship with the Father, and overcoming power to walk in righteousness.
With angels, shepherds, and wise men of old, take time to acknowledge the wonder of a Baby born unto us – sent from our Father with unspeakable love.
Blessing:
On this joyful day, may you celebrate the wonder of Immanuel – God with us. May you be filled with the wisdom of the Wonderful Counselor, confidence in our Mighty God, the eternal love of our Everlasting Father, and the deep contentment of the Prince of Peace. O, come let us adore Him.
