So Jesus said to them, “…if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you”

Jacob ran for his life. After he swindled his brother out of his birthright, Esau issued a death threat. Thirty years later, that grudge still stood.

As Jacob made his way home, Esau marched out to meet him with 400 men. Greatly distressed, Jacob pled with God: “For You said, ‘I will surely treat you well, and make your descendants as the sand of the sea…’” (Genesis 32:12).

In the face of impending death, Jacob reminded God of the promise that He had made. If God did not address this problem, Jacob’s promise would be wiped out.

In moments of desperation, we have all reminded God of what He said. We have pointed to a Scripture and echoed Jacob’s words, “You said!!”

We have it backwards! God has not forgotten; He needs no reminders. Instead, we must proclaim to the problem what our Promise Keeper has to say!

In the storm, remind the wind and the waves of the One Who quiets them with a word. Declare to the diagnosis that His stripes make you whole. Walking through the valley of death, tell the shadows that He restores your soul. Speak to the mountain!

Today’s Blessing:

May the Lord bless you and keep you. May the Lord make His face to shine upon you and be gracious unto you and give you His peace. Declare the promises of God to your problem today! Speak His Word into your situation. May God arise and scatter every enemy to the glory of His name!
