You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? You are the light of the world…
We are the light of the world. We are the salt of the earth. We are the difference makers that change destiny.
If salt loses its flavor, it has no value. If light is hidden under a basket, no one will see it. Are we doing what we were created to do?
We are the light of the world. This is not a simple statement made by a common man. Jesus has expertise in light. He was there when the Father looked down into the void of darkness. When God commanded, “Let there be light,” Jesus brought light to form.
And when Jesus looks at you, He does not see an ordinary, everyday individual. He recognizes inside of you the same power that changed everything in Genesis. The change agent that God used to dispel darkness in the beginning is the same power that exists inside your soul.
When you shine, darkness flees. Light breaks forth. The glory of God rises over the situation, and new life is born. Salt and light change destiny.

May the Lord bless you and keep you. May the Lord make His face to shine upon you and be gracious unto you and give you His peace. Go forth as the salt of the earth and light of the world to be difference makers for Him. Shine, shine, shine!
