“This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.”Joshua 1:8 (KJV) As the year draws to a close, one habit you must begin to practise, if you were not doing it, or maintain consistently is the art of mediation. The devil deceived many believers into thinking that mediation is of the occult world but that is a lie from the pit of hell. When you see a counterfeit, know that there is an original somewhere. What is meditation? Meditation is the art of ruminating on something; but here I challenge you to ruminate on the Word of God until you become one with it. It takes the Word and plants it into your spirit man. Mediation brings you to a point of belief that nothing else can stop what you believe, because it has sunk deep into your spirit man. So, as the year draws to a close, what should you to think on? The past failures and short comings? Absolutely not. Rather, take the Word that God has given you for the coming year and begin to chew on it. Search out the promises of God in the area you desire and make a confession out of them and say it over and over until you become one with it.
Beloved, the Bible rightly says that as a man thinks in his heart, so is he. So, the more of the Word you think of, the more like God you become and the more every impossibility melts in your presence, because your focus is in the Lord who is bigger than all your problems. That is why we say ‘we do not look at the ‘bigness’ of our problems but at the ‘bigness of our God.’ Make a conscious effort today to create a time for meditating on the Word and you will see your creative side come out like you never imagined before.
