NAYSAYERS

Scripture Reading: MARK 10: 46-52

Focus

“And many charged him that he should hold his peace: but he cried the more a great deal, Thou Son of David, have mercy on me.” (Mark 10: 48)

When blind Bartimaeus cried out to Jesus, many men who were in the vicinity charged him to hold his peace. Bartimaeus was crying to Jesus for mercy and divine intervention, he was crying out so that his life could move forward, he was crying out so that his story could change for good, he was crying out so that heaven will smile on him, but there were many who tried to shut him up. There were voices against the new season he desired.

Friend, in 2024, be careful to note that there will be negative voices who want to stop you. Many men will try to shut you up. Many men will try to halt the agenda of heaven in your life. Many men will try to postpone the advancement that should happen in your life. Many men will try to speak against the efforts you are making to rise from your current level. Many men, who have nothing to lose by your rising, will try to stop you from rising.

As those men commanded Bartimaeus to hold his peace, he screamed even more. His demand for change got even louder. He was not prepared to be silenced by men who didn’t understand his alignment with divine agenda. This year, refuse to be silenced by men who are not fighting the same battles you are fighting. Refuse to be slowed down by men who do not understand your need for a major divine turnaround.

Notice that when Bartimaeus refused to be silenced by his naysayers, he got the attention of Jesus. So the efforts of his naysayers were intended to stop him from transiting to his new season. Your naysayers are simply trying to stop you from advancing to the next level that God has already ordained for you. Your naysayers are simply trying to disconnect you from the new chapters that God Himself wants you to enter into.

Don’t be counted amongst them that chose to retreat into obscurity because naysayers showed up. Don’t allow the voices of negativity to halt your advancement.
