NEVER ARGUE WITH THE WORD OF GOD

“And Zacharias said unto the angel, Whereby shall I know this? for I am an old man, and my wife well stricken in years.” Luke 1:18 (KJV)

We give too much heed to human intelligence over and above the word of God. That is why the world has been going through so much shaking. The word of God is not meant to be argued. It is meant to be obeyed. If you must function by faith, you must wholeheartedly embrace the word.
The word is designed to appeal to your spirit, and not to your thinking. It is your spirit that will now educate your thinking. The word first hits your spirit because the Bible says the word of God is spirit and is life. So it addresses your spirit first.

At times when you are reading or hearing the word of God, it doesn’t make sense. But what you need to do is to believe. That is why the Bible says all things are possible to them that believe. It doesn’t say “to him that understands”, but to him, that believes. If you can believe all things are possible to him that believes.

Mary said to the angel, how can this thing be? (Luke1:34) How will it happen? She was not doubting. On the other hand, Zachariah doubted. He said, how can I know? In other words, prove it to me first.

God saw that Zachariah was going to abort the miracle and He shut his mouth. Some of our mouths need to be shut so that we can receive what God has packaged.

“And Mary said, Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to thy word. And the angel departed from her.” (Luke 1:38 KJV). In other words, she was saying, let me package myself or prepare myself so that when it happens, I won’t miss it. The angel had told her that the Holy Ghost will come upon her and the power of the Highest shall overshadow her. For with God, nothing shall be impossible. There is no room for arguing with the word of God. Our responsibility is just to believe.
