NEVER DESPISE THE LEADING OF THE HOLY SPIRIT
Acts 20:22-24 (GNB), Romans 8:14 ..in obedience to the Holy Spirit I am going to Jerusalem, not knowing what will happen to me there. I only know that in every city the Holy Spirit has warned me that prison and troubles wait for me. But I reckon my own life to be worth nothing to me; I only want to complete my mission and finish the work … the Lord Jesus gave me to do, which is to declare the Good News about the grace of God. *… as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
Some believers question whether the Holy Spirit speaks to or leads them. But realistically speaking, it is often them who fail to listen or remain sensitive to Him. It is imperative that you discover how the Holy Spirit speaks to and leads you so that you can learn how to yield and operate with Him. Sometimes, the Holy Spirit leads us by giving us a release of peace in our hearts about an issue or its timing and at other times, He offers a restraint or uneasiness in our hearts to caution us or hold us back.

Acts 16:6-7 (NLT) says, “Next Paul and Silas traveled through the area of Phrygia and Galatia, because the Holy Spirit had prevented them from preaching the word in the province of Asia ‘at that time.’ Then coming to the borders of Mysia, they headed north for the province of Bithynia, but again the Spirit of Jesus did not allow them to go there.”
The Holy Spirit will lead you in all things; even concerning those He has put under your care, (Acts 20:28). Sometimes, the thoughts we ascribe to our minds are actually the Holy Spirit’s leading or promptings in our hearts. The Holy Spirit operates in line with the word of God. He will never lead you to do anything that goes against the word of God. Keep filling yourself with the word of God and keep charging and building up your spirit by praying, Jude 1:20. Respond immediately as the Holy Spirit leads you. In Acts 13:1-3, the Holy Spirit spoke about what He wanted Paul and Barnabas to do and they were immediately released to go and do it. 1 Thessalonians 5:19 (AMP) says: “Do not quench (suppress or subdue) the [Holy] Spirit.”
Prayer:
I am open to Your Spirit, Dear Lord. Please speak to me and lead me today and in every area of my life. I yield myself to you.
