New Mindsets
Isaiah 43:18-20(GNB), Mark 2:22(NLT).
….Do not cling to events of the past or dwell on what happened long ago. Watch for the new thing I am going to do. It is happening already you can see it now! I will make a road through the wilderness and give you streams of water there even the wild animals will honour me —when I make rivers flow in the desert to give water to my choosing people. And no one put new wine into old wineskins for the wine will bust the wineskins, and the wine and the skins will both be lost. New wine calls for new wineskins.
We cannot we cannot experience the fullness of the new things that God has in store for us and our nation if we keep holding on to our old and negative mindsets. Our mindsets or the way we think and see things affect the direction that our lives ultimately go , ( Proverbs 4: 23, Proverbs 23:7a ). In Genesis 13:14 -15, God told Abraham to lift up his eyes from where he was and look , for God was going to give him as far as his eyes could see. How far can you see? What things do you believe are possible? What type of things do you see God achieving through you?
Your mindset affects your attitudes, your emotions, your health, your behaviour, as well as what you can achieve and experience. In Numbers 14: 24(NLT). God said , “But my servant Caleb has a different attitude than the others have. He has remained loyal to me, so I will bring him into the land he explored . His descendants will posses their full share of that land.”Can two walk together, except they be agreed?”( Amos 3:3). Our mindsets need to agree with God’s mindset so that we can partner with Him to experience and manifest His will on the earth. The Israelites who could not enter the Promised Land were those who refused to let go of their old mindsets.
God is set to do new things in our lives and He is telling us that it is no more business as usual. God wants us to change the way we see ourselves, the way we see others, the way we see our challenges, the way
we see the things we do and the way we see Him. God has greater things in store for you and as you change your mindset, you will experience great and new possibilities in your spiritual life, health, finances, family, career ,business and ministry.
Prayer Focus:
Tell God that you are ready for the new and greater things which He has in store for you . Tell Him you are willing to change your mindset.
