MEMORISE: “And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.” – Matthew 18:3

READ: Matthew 18:1-4

  1. At the same time came the disciples unto Jesus, saying, Who saying, Who isis the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?
  2. And Jesus called a little child unto him, and set him in the midst of them,
  3. And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.
  4. Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Genesis 29-30; Matthew 10:1-23

MESSAGE:

Jesus said that except we are all like little children, no one will make it to heaven. The problem however is that many teenagers have started acting like adults in the kingdom matters. You think that you can pray for up to an hour, fast and recite some scriptures offhand, then you are now a spiritual giant. This is very untrue! When Jesus was teaching us to pray in Matthew 6, He said we are to start with “Our Father”. That implies, the moment you start to feel like a spiritual adult, you are no longer a part of the Kingdom.

You must be humble. When you hear that a fellow teenager is going to preach in Sunday School, don’t decide to stay away because you feel like you know more than the fellow. When it is time for Bible quiz, don’t act like you are better than everyone else. Don’t study Greek words just to show everyone that you study the Bible. You must remain humble if you are to remain in the Kingdom of God.

Key Point:

The moment you begin to feel as if you are a spiritual, you lose your place in the Kingdom of God.

Hymn 7:

1.Take my life and let it be
Consecrated Lord to thee
Take my moment and days
Let them flow ceaseless praise.

2.Take my hands and let them move
At the impulse of thy love
Take my feet and them be
Swift and beautiful for thee

3.Take my voice and let me sing
Always only for my king
Take my lips and let them be
Filled with messages from thee.

4.Take my sliver and my gold
Not a mite would I withhold
Take my intellect, and use
Every power as thou shalt choose.

5.Take my will and make it Thine,
It shall no longer mine:
Take my heart, it is Thine own;
It shall be Thy royal throne,

6.Take my love, my Lord, I pour
At They feet its treasure store;
Take myself, and I will be
Ever, only, all for thee
