O Thou That Sleepeth! (2)

BIBLE READING: 2 Kings 4-6
TEXT: “Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober. For they that sleep in the night;
and they that be drunken are drunken in the night.” – 1 Thessalonians 5 :6 – 7.

MESSAGE
Whatever you see the devil do is just as preservation of the truth and the acts of God to perpetrate wickedness. He has no innovation or invention of his own. In Genesis 2; when God wanted to take something valuable from Adam without his knowledge, He caused a deep sleep to fall upon him and He took one of his ribs and form the woman, Eve. So also the devil is negatively doing today to believers taking treasures from them. He makes them sleep when they are supposed to be praying and studying. He makes them lukewarm with I-“donʼt-care attitude to the things of the spirit, but they have pleasure in fulfilling the lust of the flesh, thereby taking valuable treasures from their destinies. You must say no to slumbering. When you take charge of the night season, you rule your day. If you want to see Godʼs glory in your life, wake up now o thou that sleepeth. The disciples of Jesus in Luke 9 :32; at the transfiguration would have missed His glory if they had not woken up at the nick of time from their slumber.

It is time to walk in the Spirit and exercise yourself unto godliness. Surrender your little strength to Him and the Holy Ghost will enable you.I pray for you; itʼs a new dawn for you. You shall see His glory!

PRAYER: My Father! My Father! As I begin to pray, enlighten my eyes O God! I refuse to slumber anymore….
