OBEDIENCE: KEY TO DIVINE DESTINY

“If they obey and serve him, they shall spend their days in prosperity, and their years in pleasures.” Job 36:11 KJV

It is one thing to pray; it is quite another to listen and receive instructions from His mouth. However, as good as this is, if you do not obey the word, then it is all efforts in futility. I wrote a book many years ago and it is still relevant today: ‘Obedience: Key to Divine Destiny.’ If you must receive all that God has ordained for you, then you must be ready to obey.

Obedience is key but prompt obedience is more important. Delayed obedience is as good as disobedience. If God says something, be determined to quickly obey. God is looking for believers who will promptly obey Him and run with every single word He will drop in their spirit. Will you be one? Unfortunately, many believers pay lip service to the issue of obedience. You only want to obey when it is convenient for you. No! If you must experience exceeding abundance this year, then you must be quick to obey. As soon as you hear His voice, harden not your heart. Yield; obey in full and watch God honour His Word in your life.

Some of the instructions might not make sense; but once it is from God, please do because it makes faith. Faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen. If you can see it, then you no longer need to work by faith. Remember that as believers, we walk by faith and not by sight.

Do you want to prosper in 2021 and beyond? Then learn the art of immediate obedience. I love the way the New Living Translation puts it: “If they listen and obey God, they will be blessed with prosperity throughout their lives. All their years will be pleasant.” Did you see that? God wants all your years, not just this year, but ALL your years to be pleasant. So, take a quality decision to walk in total obedience this year and beyond.
