ON EARTH AS IT IS IN HEAVEN

Matthew 6:9-10 (GNB, TPT)

This, then, is how you should pray: ‘Our Father in heaven: May your holy name be honored; may your Kingdom come; may your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. *Pray like this: ‘Our Father, dwelling in the heavenly realms, may the glory of your name be the center on which our lives turn. Manifest your kingdom realm, and cause your every purpose to be fulfilled on earth, just as it is fulfilled in heaven.

God’s greatest desire is not for us to come to Heaven. His greatest desire is for us to bring Heaven down to earth. God wants His kingdom to come and His will to be done on earth as it is in Heaven. He wants us to pray about this and be committed to opening up ourselves to Him and allowing His life and power flow through us to fill the earth with His glory and will. Heaven is our home and when we are through with our mission and assignment on earth, we will go home and receive our rewards.

When Jesus was on the earth, His preoccupation was not how He will make it to Heaven. His focus and commitment was how earth will experience the will of Heaven. You and I are agents of God’s kingdom and we are here to make the earth a colony of Heaven. We are to impose the culture and system of operation in God’s kingdom in every space we find ourselves.

For this to happen, it must start with our lives. We must get deeper in our understanding and receiving God’s kingdom into our lives. It is God’s good pleasure to give us the kingdom, (Luke 12:32). God wants your life to be a model of what His kingdom looks like. He will then spread it to others through you.

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, I receive the abundance and will of your kingdom into every area of my life. Use me to spread it to others.
