“I will bless the Lord who has counseled me; indeed, my mind instructs me in the night. I have set the Lord continually before me; because he is at my right hand, I will not be shaken.” – PSALM 16:7-8Loading the player …
I never cease to be amazed at the many different phobias people have. But I recently heard of one that is new to me. I read about someone who has a fear of open doors. If a door is entirely open, he can’t go through it. His brother got so upset with him that he threatened him by saying, ‘Stop this or I’m going to lock you in a room with all the doors wide open.’ I love that: locked in a room with all the doors open. Some of us are like that. We have a tough time making decisions. We wait, we plan, we overthink. Indecision is like being locked in a room with the doors open.
The solution: Trust God. Read the psalms and you’ll discover that when we trust God, He will give us peace, He will give us joy, He will guide us on His timetable…and He will provide the key to wise decision-making.
