OUR GREATEST SERVICE UNTO GOD
 
Mark 16:15-16, Acts 20:24 (TPT), Romans 1:9b (NLT) …Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. “But whether I live or die is not important, for I don’t esteem my life as indispensable. It’s more important for me to fulfill my destiny and to finish the ministry my Lord Jesus has assigned to me, which is to faithfully preach the wonderful news of God’s grace. …God, whom I serve with all my heart by spreading the Good News about his Son.

God’s greatest priority is the salvation of the souls of men. Our greatest service unto God is therefore to partner and align with Him to see to the salvation of the souls of men. It is not God’s will for anyone to perish, but for all to come to the knowledge of His saving grace. However, for people to be saved, they have to believe the Gospel of Christ and for them to believe the Gospel, they have to hear it. For them to hear the Gospel, you and I have to preach it to them, (Rom.10:13-15). This is why we say, ‘Evangelism, our supreme task.’ Evangelism is still our supreme task and God wants us to be more committed to serving Him by the preaching of the Gospel of Christ more than ever before.
 
It is indeed a great privilege. Do you know that as powerful as they are, the angels of God cannot preach the gospel? The Bible says they long to look into or understand the glorious mysteries of the Gospel, (1Pet.1:12). The Gospel of Christ is the power of God unto salvation. It is a debt we owe to every one we come in contact with and we should be willing and unashamed to share it with them, (Rom.1:14-16). Apostle Paul said, “For you see, even though I proclaim the good news, I can’t take the credit for my labors, for I am compelled to fulfill my duty by completing this work. It would be agony to me if I did not constantly preach the gospel!” (1Cor. 9:16, TPT). One major way to show we appreciate all the love God showed us through Jesus and His sacrifice on the cross for us, is by telling people about it. One major way to show love to people is to tell them about the love of God, so they can experience it. Our shoes in the armour of God is, “…the readiness to announce the Good News of peace,” (Eph.6:15, GNB). We have the empowerment of the Spirit for this great service (Acts 1:8).
 
Prayer:
 Heavenly Father, I thank you for the great privilege you have given me to preach the glorious Gospel of Christ. Use me to preach to someone today.
