OUR HOPE IS IN OUR SALVATION

“And we believers also groan, even though we have the Holy Spirit within us as a foretaste of future glory, for we long for our bodies to be released from sin and suffering. We, too, wait with eager hope for the day when God will give us our full rights as his adopted children, including the new bodies he has promised us. But if we look forward to something we don’t yet have, we must wait patiently and confidently.)” Romans 8:23, 25 (NLT)

The only hope that we have against the decay and destruction that the world is heading to is our salvation. There is no other hope, except the saving grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. When we were saved we have this hope. That is the hope of the believer. That is really what gives you joy unspeakable. The fact that everything does not end here.

Apostle Paul tells us in 1 Corinthians 15:19: “If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable.”. It is the absence of hope beyond this material world that makes the world to be miserable and in despair.

As believers, we have hope beyond this material realm, otherwise, there would have been nothing to look forward to. The ultimate for all believers is that they are ready to meet their Maker. Are you ready? When your “vehicle” drives to your doorstep. Will you be ready? That is the issue. You see, when the “vehicle” drives to your doorstep, there is no question. Whether you are ready or not, you are going home. So, you’ve got to be ready because it can happen anytime. That’s why we have been given this hope which is the truth and the reality of our salvation.

The book of 1 Corinthians 15:50-51 tells us: “Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; nor does corruption inherit incorruption. Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed…”
