OUR HOPE IS SURE AND ALIVE

Romans 5:3-5 (TPT)

…Even in times of trouble we have a joyful confidence, knowing that our pressures will develop in us patient endurance. And patient endurance will refine our character, and proven character leads us back to hope. And this hope is not a disappointing fantasy, because we can now experience the endless love of God cascading into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who lives in us!

As children of God, one major thing our hope is based on is the resurrection of Jesus from the dead, (1Pet.1:3, NIV). The same power that raised Jesus from the dead is at work in us (Eph.1:19-20) and it can restore even dead and hopeless situations in our lives. This is why Abraham had hope even when there was no physical and logical reason to have hope anymore, and He experienced the manifestation of the power and the glory of God in his life, (Rom.4:17-21). Our hope is also based on God’s great love for us and His great and precious promises to us.

God wants us to always be full of hope because our hope is sure and alive. The Bible says, “There is surely a future hope for you, and your hope will not be cut off,” (Prov.23:18, NIV). The fact that things do not happen when and how you expect them should never make you give up your hope in God. Wait on God and renew your strength, (Isa.40:31). Keep yielding yourself to God’s leading. Beloved, just like it happened in Joseph’s life, your expectation will manifest in a bigger and better dimension.

Remembering God’s goodness and mercies to us has a way of filling us with hope, (Lam.3:21-23). What God did before, He can do again in a greater dimension. The scriptures also comfort us and give us hope, (Rom.15:4). The great things that God has said and done in the scriptures show us what God will do in our lives as we trust in Him; especially His promises. We have hope both in this life and in the life to come, (1Cor.15:19). Our greatest hope is that when Jesus returns we will be like Him, (1John 3:1-3)

Prayer:
I thank you Dear Father for your great love for me, your great promises to me and the resurrection power of Christ at work in my life
