“And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise.” – Hebrews 6:15

Read: Hebrews 6:12-15

12 That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.

13 For when God made promise to Abraham, because he could swear by no greater, he sware by himself,

14 Saying, Surely blessing I will bless thee, and multiplying I will multiply thee.

15 And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise.

Bible In One Year: Ezekiel 27-28, James 4

MESSAGE:

Sometimes, when God makes a promise, the time He will eventually fulfill it may take longer than expected. During this period, we are faced with a lot of internal and external forces that may tilt us to other directions that are not godly. The internal factor can be just like in Sarah’s case. The external factors too can be discouraging words from friends, family, your environment and the devil himself. These things can derail you from focusing on God’s promises. However, you need to know that His promises are yea and amen. So you need to patiently wait like Abraham did for the fulfillment of God’s promise.

The road might be rough now, but there is a safe and happy end if you don’t give up. Know that God cannot lie, He will surely do whatever He says

Key Point:

God’s pathway is the sure way to your destiny, wait on Him.

Hymn 9:

1 I am so glad that our Father in heaven
Tells of His love in the book He has given;
Wonderful things in the Bible I see;
This is the dearest, that Jesus loves me.

Chorus
I am so glad that Jesus loves me,
Jesus loves me, Jesus love me;
I am so glad that Jesus loves me,
Jesus loves even me.

2 Though I forget Him and wander away,
Still He doth love me whenever I stray;
Back to His dear loving arms would I flee,
When I remember that Jesus loves me.

3 Oh, if there’s only one song I can sing,
When in His beauty I see the great King,
This shall my song in eternity be,
“Oh, what a wonder that Jesus loves me.”
