PEOPLE WHO GLORIFIED GOD IN THEIR BODIES
Hebrews 11:24-26 (GNB), Daniel 1:8
It was faith that made Moses, …refuse to be called the son of the king’s daughter. He preferred to suffer with God’s people rather than to enjoy sin for a little while. He reckoned that to suffer scorn for the Messiah was worth far more than all the treasures of Egypt, for he kept his eyes on the future reward. *But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king’s meat…

The Bible is filled with stories of people like us, who glorified God in their bodies and their stories are written as examples for us and also to encourage us, (1Cor.10:11). Every one of them who decided to glorify God in their bodies went through some major challenges but in the end, they were greatly blessed and rewarded for their decisions.
When Potiphar’s wife tempted Joseph to defile himself, he refused because he did not want to dishonor God, (Gen.39:9). Though she lied against him and Joseph was thrown into prison, everything eventually led to his promotion and lifting into the palace. Daniel and his brethren also did not regret their decision not to defile themselves. At the end of the day, not only were they fresher in their bodies, they were ten times better than their peers intellectually, (Dan.1:8-20). Apostle Paul described Himself as someone who obtained mercy to be faithful, (1Cor.7:25). This mercy is also upon you in Christ. Paul went through a lot of challenges and persecutions but in all, he made up his mind that whether by life or by death, Christ will be glorified in his body, (Phil.1:20). You can do the same.
You are one with Jesus now and Jesus glorified God in His Body when He was on earth. He was tempted in every way, yet without sin and He went about doing good by the empowerment and leading of the Holy Spirit, (Heb.4:15, Acts 10:38).
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, I thank you because you have given me the same grace that you gave Jesus and many others who glorified you in their bodies.
