BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Numbers 21-23; Mark 7:14-37

MESSAGE:

In the life of every teenager, there are usually moments of pressure. I pray that God will see you through such moments in Jesus’ name.

As a girl, there will be a period when so many guys will ask you out. As a guy, there will be periods when your friends will make fun of you because you don’t have a girlfriend. There will be periods when you will be under pressure to go to night clubs or certain places a Christian should not be found. You might also be under pressure to wear revealing dresses.

This is a period when you need to study your Bible more, pray more and attend fellowships more. You cannot afford to stay away from God because the devil will use any little window to get into your heart. You also need to tell your parents or one of them whom you know will help you overcome the pressures. These periods can be very tough, but you will overcome with Jesus by your side. Since Jesus overcame the world, you too will overcome.

Key Point:

Staying close to God will help you not to fall for the pressures of the devil.

Hymn 1:

1 Stand up! Stand up for Jesus,
Ye soldiers of the Cross!
Lift high His royal banner,
It must not suffer loss.
From victory unto victory
His army shall He lead,
Till every foe is vanquished,
And Christ is Lord indeed.

2 Stand up, stand up for Jesus,
The solemn watchword hear;
If while ye sleep he suffers,
Away with shame and fear.
Where’re yeah meet with evil,
Within you or without,
Charge for the God of battles,
And put the foe to rout.

3 Stand up! Stand up for Jesus!
Stand in His strength alone;
The arm of flesh will fail you,
Ye dare not trust your own.
Put on the gospel armour,
And watching unto prayer;
Where duty calls, or danger,
Be never wanting there.

4 Stand up! Stand up for Jesus!
The strife will not be long;
This day the noise of battle,
The next the victor’s song.
To him that overcometh
A crown of life shall be;
He with the King of glory
Shall reign eternally.
