Personalize the Promises of God’s Peace

Psalms 29:11 The Lord will give strength unto his people; the Lord will bless his people with peace.

Isaiah 26:3-4 (NIV) You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you. Trust in the Lord forever, for the Lord, the Lord himself, is the Rock eternal.

2 Thessalonian 3:16 Now the Lord of peace himself give you peace always by all means. The Lord be with you all.

Romans 16:20 (LB) The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet. The blessings from our Lord Jesus Christ be upon you.

When someone who loves you and is very powerful, influential and trustworthy makes a promise to you, how do you respond to such a promise? You receive it as already done, right? The Almighty God is your Heavenly Father and He has made several promises to you. Because of Jesus, every promise that God has made to Hies children in His word is now your reality and as you claim them, they will eventually manifest as your experience. In the Amplified Bible 2 Corinthians 1:20 says, “For as many as are the promises of God, in Christ they are [all answered] “Yes.” So through Him, we say our “Amen” to the glory of God.”

Now we can boldly say to ourselves whatever God has said about us. The Bible says, “Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, ‘I will never leave you nor forsake you.’ So we may boldly say: ‘The Lord is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?’” (Heb. 13:5-6). In Isaiah 54:10 (LB) God says to you, “For the mountains may depart and the hills disappear, but my kindness shall not leave you. My promise of peace for you will never be broken, says the Lord who has mercy upon you.” Our first text above reminds you that God will strengthen you and bless you with peace. Our third text above similarly assures us that God will give you peace by all means. Jeremiah 29:11 says, “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.” When our last text above says the God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet, it refers to the fact that Satan has already been defeated on the cross. However, you will soon experience your victory over him under your feet or in your won life. His scheme against you will be grinded to dust and ashes by the mighty power of God.
