Memorise: In the multitude of words there wanteth not sin: but he that refraineth his lips is wise. Proverbs 10:19

Bible Reading: 1 Peter 1:15-16

  1. But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation;
  2. Because it is written, Be ye holy; for l am holy.

Bible Reading In One Year: 2 Corinthians 13:1-14

MESSAGE:

Holiness doesn’t exist only in the Bible, it is practicable. Any fellow who is holy is sanctified and one of the attributes they possess is time consciousness. They don’t waste time and they don’t arrive to places late, particularly the house of God. If you stroll into the Church premises when the service is on without feeling guilty, you are not sanctified. Those who are holy are organised such that they know when and how to do things, they resemble the heavenly Father who is holy and does things in order.

Another attribute of those who live holy is that they are quiet. They are not talkative or lousy. Any Christian who talks too much is born again but not sanctified. James 1:19 tells us to be fast to hear and slow to speak. Someone once said God gave us two ears and one mouth so that we can listen twice as much as we speak.

Any fellow who is sanctified also has integrity. Their yes is yes and their no is no. They don’t live like chameleons. If you can’t stand by your words, then you are not holy. So are you truly living holy?

Prayer Point:

Father, please help me to live holy as from today.

Hymn: Take My Life , And Let It Be

  1. Take my life and let it be
    Consecrated, Lord, to Thee;
    Take my moments and my days,
    Let them flow in ceaseless praise.
  2. Take my hands and let them move
    At the impulse of Thy love;
    Take my feet and let them be
    Swift and beautiful for Thee.
  3. Take my voice and let me sing
    Always, only for my King;
    Take my lips and let them be
    Filled with messages from Thee.
  4. Take my silver and my gold
    Not a mite would I withhold;
    Take my intellect and use
    Every power as Thou shalt choose.
  5. Take my will and make it
    Thine It shall be no longer mine;
    Take my heart, it is Thine own
    It shall be Thy royal throne.
  6. Take my love, my Lord, I pour
    At Thy feet its treasure store.
    Take myself and I will be
    Ever, only, all for Thee.
